Event Requirements

Event Time Commitment for EMRA Race School at Stratotech Park:
- One half day of classroom instruction (Friday Evening) - May 20, 2022 @ 4:30PM - approximately 9:00pm
- One full day of on track instructor led sessions - May 21, 2022 @ 7:30AM - approximately 4:30PM
What to Expect:
- Classroom instruction from experienced racers, giving you all the knowledge you need to become a successful club racer - explanations of riding theory, tips on bike preparation, and all the rules and procedures you need to understand before getting on the track, including a written test.
- On track drills include learning the race lines, throttle control, braking, body position, passing, race starts, and the full experience of gridding up for your first mock race!
Machine Preparation:
- You do not require a fully race prepped bike to attend race school.
- Minimum bike prep requirements:
- BIKE must be in good working order:
- Throttle should move freely
- Brake pads must have sufficient material
- Brake fluid should be bled if fluid is old
- All engine fluids contained
- Fork seals in good shape
- All hoses in good shape
- Bodywork and other items securely fastened to the motorcycle
- TIRES must be in good shape:
- clear of cracks
- have adequate tread
- BIKE must be in good working order:
- There is a 93Db sound limit in place at Stratotech Park. If you exceed this sound limit you will be removed from the track and not permitted to re-enter until this has been resolved.
- No bike will be allowed on the track if the organizers deem the bike to be unsafe
Minimum Required Rider Gear:
- 1 or 2 piece leather suit. If 2 piece - it must zip together around the waist. Textile riding gear not permitted.
- Motorcycle boots at least ankle high
- Gauntlet style gloves - must cover the wrist
- Helmet rated for motorcycle track use (i.e. Snell M2015, ECE 22.05)
EMRA will be adhering to all applicable AHS COVID Regulations in force at the time of Race School.
- Currently a Vaccine QR Code or Negative test result within 72 hours of event start is required due to the indoor classroom portion of the event.
- Your QR Code or negative test result must be presented upon entry to the classroom.
EMRA Race School Registration:
EMRA School registrations are sold on a first come first served basis. Students who pass EMRA race school are eligible to receive an EMRA competition license (Novice). If the student does not purchase a license and race at a minimum of one event during those two years, that student will be required to take another race school in order to be re-certified for licensing.
Refund Policy:
Refunds will be granted for schools up to 30 days in advance of the school with the exception of a $50 service fee. No refunds will be issued in the last 30 days before the start of the school. The School runs rain or shine so come prepared!
